Katie's Birthday Meal

Katie wears:
Shirt - Zara
Skirt - River Island
Shoes - River Island
Earrings - Present from me :-)

Top - Monki
Skirt - DIY
Necklace & Braclet - Topshop

Hello!

So last night me & my family went out for a lovely italian for my sister's birthday and as well posting my own OOTN, I thought that I'd make Katie's the main feature; I can't believe how chic and grown up she looks, at 12! She puts the style of the 12 year old me to shame that's for sure -.-
Not going to lie, I am insanely jealous of her oufit, mainly because I know I wouldn't be able to pull off what she is wearing like she can, the skinny thing! I absolutley love the floral print shirt, it just screams summer, and the collar less neckline is oh-so-chic. Paired with her simple black skater skirt and perspex top cap shoes - I wouldn't have styled it better myself! I don't care that she has them- I NEED those shoes!

As usual, I went for a monochrome look and paired it with gold jewellery.  To wear out, I added my leather jacket, black slipper shoes and my velvet polka dot bag. Sorry for the limited photos of my outfit but as Katie is my resident photographer, I though I'd let her off on her birthday ;-)

Hope you like the looks!

OOTN

Shirt - Monki
Biker Jacket - Topshop
Leggings - H&M
Shoes & Bag - Primark
Bracelet - River Island

Hello!

Just a really quick post on my outfit I wore out for a meal for my dad's birthday today.
I absolutely looove this shirt, which I bought from Monki when I went to London in february. I own a hell of a lot of shirts but I was instantly drawn to the mirrored floral design, which although initially I thought would be hard to style, has become a staple piece in my wardrobe!
I paired it over leggings as I wanted to be comfortable and casual enough for a pub. I accessorized with my velvet polka dot bag and new bracelet which I adore. I love how the leather jacket and bracelet toughen up the floral shirt. :-)

Hope you like the look!

Quick Ramble

Hi..

So I haven't posted on here for aaaaaages, but I promise I will be in the next few days, as I have some packages to arrive, which I cannot wait for because it means I can do a proper styling post with them. :-)

Also, it's not because I've been very lazy but everything with school is a bit crazy at the minute what with deadlines and exams coming up, urghh.
I really can't believe I leave school next month; Y11 has gone so fast it's unreal! Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to leave but the thought of going off to college is a bit nerve wracking and right now everyone's realising just how much they'll miss school and everything.
The good news is when I do leave I'll have loads of time throughout summer to make clothes and blog before I start my courses in fashion & clothing and fine art at college. So, although I won't have the chance to blog a lot now and into exam time, expect plenty of posts afterwards!

Just thought I'd post a quick update for anyone who is interested in my blog. :-)

Hope you're having a lovely day

Weekend in London - Part 1

mmmmmm

These could easily have been worn in Pride & Prejudice, love how these were only 'walking' clothes

Beautiful!

How wide is this ballgown?! Love how women of the time were just 'expected to gracefully make their way through doorways'

Hello! :-)

This is part 1 of the photos I took whilst in London last weekend.
On the Saturday, we headed straight to Covent Garden, one of my favourite places in London. As usual there was a street entertainer on when we arrived, who actually juggled with knives upside down, pretty crazyyy I know. We then met up with my cousin for lunch in Bill's which was lovely. I had a grilled halloumi cheese, hummus & roasted pepper burger, seriously delicious!
Afterwards we had a wander round Carnaby Street, Liberty was one of the department shops I really wanted to go in and ooooh it's just so pretty!
On Sunday we went to the V&A Museum, primarily to see the fashion section, showing clothing from the 1700's through to the 1960's. I took more or less photos of everything in there but have featured my favourites in this post.

Ways I would Style H&M Trousers

Hello!

So I recently purchased these gorgeous trousers from H&M whilst in London (blog post to follow) and to be honest, they were a bit of an impulse buy as I saw them on the mannequin and thought, I have to have those! They will be perfect for S/S as they tick the monochrome trend, are floral which I love, and are made of a light, breezy fabric aswell as being slightly tailored.

Although at first I thought they might be quite tricky to style, I really love the outfits I have come up with. As shown above, by adding a bright lipstick such as this one from the Kate Moss collection for Rimmel, can really make a monochrome outfit pop.
I would also accessorise with gold or silver jewellery because I think either would work with the colour palette.

Hope you like the looks :-)
