Sophie & Neil's Wedding 4/05/2014

Hellooooo,

So this post is a week overdue but last Friday was my cousin Sophie's wedding and it was such a lovely day.
For my outfit I decided to go for a very spring like, slightly Christopher Kane S/S '14 (pastels, florals and metallics) inspired ensemble with this lilac high neck dress from Missguided, paired with silver heels, printed clutch and earrings from Accessorize. As a last resort for a cover up I found this scarf from H&M which worked pretty well as a finishing touch, adding another texture and coordinating with my white bag.

Here are photos from throughout the  day, and there definitely is a lot so sorry for anyone who doesn't like photo based posts but I couldn't not include these :-)

How cute does my sister look? She wears:
Dress & Shoes - Newlook/ Blazer - Zara/ Bag - Next

The various tea flavoured cake was made by fellow Sheffielder Howard Middleton who appeared on The Great British Bake Off - how cute??
Proper Yorkshire wedding favour
There was a dress up box which we obviously took full advantage of haha

These last photos were taken at the end of the night, hence why my hair looks a bit of a state haha

All Black Everythaaang (just about)

Top- Charity Shop/ Jeans - Topshop/ Cardigan - TK Maxx/ Bag - Primark/ Hat - H&M/ Necklace - Accessorize

Hellooooo,

It feels like so long since I've posted, so although my outfit today was a bit boring I thought I would take a few photos anyway since I had the time - which I seem to have none of lately for blog posts :-(
I'm going to make time though, & I promise to post more interesting outfits! haha

Since this outfit is more or less all black everythaaang, I thought I'd include these pretty photos I took in the botanical gardens the other week.

Hope you've had a lovely weekend,

Em x

New In - What I Bought in London

Jumper - Monki
Shirt - George @ ASDA (I bought this beforehand but how nice is this shirt?? & only £12!)
Dress - Forever 21
Shirt - Primark
Skirt - Forever 21
Top - Monki
Postcards & bookmark - National Gallery, floral tin - Sass & Belle, Rose gold eye pencil - & Other Stories, Necklace - Accessorize

Heyyyyyyy,

So, here are the clothes & other things I accumulated whilst in London. As soon as we arrived & had dropped luggage off at the hotel, we headed straight to Oxford Street - ahhh shopper's paradise. Forever 21 always have amazing clothes in, and it was a bit of a floral overload in there but I managed to find the dress and skirt (which I think looks like it could be from Urban Outfitters) which will be perfect for spring/summer. I also picked up this bright tropical jumper from Monki which was on my Monki wishlist which I adore, along with the monochome top with contrasting stripes which I thought was a cool alternative to your average Breton striped top.
We braved the huuuge Primark but it was insanely busy & very hot inside so I just grabbed the polka dot shirt as soon as I saw it because I have been wanting one for forever, and it was a steal at only a tenner :-)
I also bought a few postcards of artists work including Monet & Van Gogh's paintings which were displayed in the National Gallery to go up in my room as well as cute rose bookmark & matching tin from Sass & Belle in Covent Garden.
Finally, the only item of makeup I got was this rose gold/pink eye pencil which is such a gorgeous shade from & Other Stories (their whole makeup & body range is amaaazing), and the only item of jewellery this pressed blue flower pendant which I thought was really cool.

See anything you like?

Thanks for reading,
