Weekend in London - Part 1

mmmmmm

These could easily have been worn in Pride & Prejudice, love how these were only 'walking' clothes

Beautiful!

How wide is this ballgown?! Love how women of the time were just 'expected to gracefully make their way through doorways'

Hello! :-)

This is part 1 of the photos I took whilst in London last weekend.
On the Saturday, we headed straight to Covent Garden, one of my favourite places in London. As usual there was a street entertainer on when we arrived, who actually juggled with knives upside down, pretty crazyyy I know. We then met up with my cousin for lunch in Bill's which was lovely. I had a grilled halloumi cheese, hummus & roasted pepper burger, seriously delicious!
Afterwards we had a wander round Carnaby Street, Liberty was one of the department shops I really wanted to go in and ooooh it's just so pretty!
On Sunday we went to the V&A Museum, primarily to see the fashion section, showing clothing from the 1700's through to the 1960's. I took more or less photos of everything in there but have featured my favourites in this post.

Ways I would Style H&M Trousers

Hello!

So I recently purchased these gorgeous trousers from H&M whilst in London (blog post to follow) and to be honest, they were a bit of an impulse buy as I saw them on the mannequin and thought, I have to have those! They will be perfect for S/S as they tick the monochrome trend, are floral which I love, and are made of a light, breezy fabric aswell as being slightly tailored.

Although at first I thought they might be quite tricky to style, I really love the outfits I have come up with. As shown above, by adding a bright lipstick such as this one from the Kate Moss collection for Rimmel, can really make a monochrome outfit pop.
I would also accessorise with gold or silver jewellery because I think either would work with the colour palette.

Hope you like the looks :-)

My 16th Birthday

Leather Jacket - Topshop, Shirt - H&M, Velvet Skirt - DIY, Necklace - H&M, Heels - Primark

Hello again!

Today I turned 16 (scary much), so here's a quick post of my outfit I wore out to a meal in Prezzo.
I had a really nice day, despite it being on a school day, and received some lovely presents, most of them being surprises as I only really asked for a camera case haha.

Anyway hope you like the look,

Welcome to my blog!

Hello and welcome to The Typical Aquarius!

So, where to start..
I have been a avid reader of blogs for almost a year, and throughout that time have wanted to start my own, simply because I love blogger streetstyle and learning new DIY ideas and wanted to publish my style and personal ramblings.
This blog will consist of OOTD's, new purchases, lookbooks, wishlists and basically my life as a soon to be fashion student from Sheffield. I'll also include any vintage finds and any photos I've taken I find interesting.

Today was another lovely wintery day and after a lazy sunday morning me, my dad and sister headed out for a nice walk through a park in Barnsley. I love getting wrapped up to go out in the snow, layering different textures to become as cosy as possible. Without realising I seemed to go for a 'berry' colour palette for outerwear with my burgundy coat, plum snood and purple gloves, a trend for A/W '12 and kept me warm nevertheless.
Underneath I paired my white lace collared top with my oversized Urban Outfitters cardi, a bargain in the sale for £22! I also wore my new Jaime high waisted grey skinny jeans from Topshop just because they are my go-to pair of jeans at the moment and I love how they give the illusion of slightly longer legs for petite girls like me! For shoes I stuck with my black ankle boots and accessorised with my favourite black rucksack.

Hope you like the look :-)
